Omamuzo Egwerome
Founder, CEO
As founder and CEO of the Kome Egwerome Foundation- KEF, Omamuzo drives the foundation’s mission. The right team and partners are key to an endeavour of this magnitude, he brings his passion for service to build viable partnerships and ensures that the foundation can raise its ambitions.
Having a mother who was a teacher, school principal and education inspector, instilled a passion in him to tackle the most important problems in the world like poverty and youth unemployment through entrepreneurship education. He began his journey by being a business professional in the banking industry to gain the requisite experience and hands-on skills.
He worked in the commercial, retail, private and corporate sectors of the following banks: First Bank of Nigeria Ltd, Diamond Bank Plc (now Access Bank Plc), Spring Bank Plc (now Heritage Bank Plc), and SunTrust Bank Ltd, spanning 15 (fifteen) years.
Omamuzo holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Hult International Business School, Boston USA, Specialization – Entrepreneurship. He mentors young entrepreneurs and supports Moms Like Me International, a Canada-based NGO focused on women’s economic empowerment.
